To be fast or to be good?

People always seem to be in a rush. It's the result of the modern world we live in today, the fast moving culture that seems to inadvertently cause everyone to think that to be good, you need to be fast.
Well, we have learnt that at least in the car detailing world, you cannot really be fast and at the same time be good. we found out long ago that in order to give customers the best value, we need to be able to take our time.
Whether it means stalling a car wash so that we can polish a stubborn stain out, or allowing the car to cool down before detailing the engine, it all means it requires a bit of patience from the customer.
Alas, we have also figured out that if we make the customer wait (not without reason, of course) but at the same time deliver superior quality, we may upset the customer for a day but we will get a long term customer that appreciates good results.
It has proven to be a good recipe for success; to deliver high quality results consistently. The customer will always eventually not only understand but also to accept is as 'part of deal' in order to get good value from their investment.
